Branding and Product Dashboard

Problem:

Campaign Deputy is a cloud-based donor management solution designed to help political parties and non-profit organizations manage political campaigns. The founders had bootstrapped their own brand and product, and with some key new clients, needed a face lift.

Solution:

The first task was to create a new logo, and an updated brand for the company. The previous brand was a bit confusing for their primary audience as it incorporated a lot of red. Because they only support democratic campaigns, we needed to make certain that the primary color palette was founded in shades of blue.  

After a few rounds of exploration, we landed on a bold and modern new logo, with a primary palette that features modern and energetic blues and greens. The mark is representation of an up and to the right motion which signifies progress in finance, as well as in poll numbers. It is also a representation of email and communication being sent. Lastly, it the shapes are made with the initials CD, standing for Campaign Deputy. We opted for a customized bold and chunky serif font for the wordmark.

The product design needed to stay true to how users were accustomed to interacting with the site. At this time, we opted to only make major modifications to the UX of the primary dashboard, but an overall facelift to the UI incorporating the new brand. The updated look feels sleek and modern, and has been well received by the audience.
