UofL Health Equity Innovation Hub
Problem:
The University of Louisville Health Equity and Innovation Hub seeks to support early-stage, underrepresented founders in their entrepreneurial journey. They were up against a challenge in fundraising. Explaining the Innovation Ecosystem succinctly and effectively to those unfamiliar with it can be a difficult task. You have only a few minutes to gain and maintain attention. They needed some help in reframing the approach.
Solution:
In close collaboration with the team at UL, I helped create a narrative that explained the innovation ecosystem in a human-centric manner. It was important to make sure that the process was well understood. This program is important to our community, and it deserves the appropriate spotlight.
By creating unique user personas, all with the same problem and solution, we were able to efficiently, and effectively explain the cycle of innovation.
With the collective effort of everyone involved, the pitch deck we developed contributed to the raising of millions of dollars. This has lead to a great partnership for Studio Mähd as we are now partnered to help with design for their emerging startups.
In my life, I have been privileged to work with global talent a few times, and it is wonderful to find here in our backyard. Shahla's combination of insight, creativity, and follow-through has resulted in millions of dollars of grant and investment funding for us.
